Position Sizer

He doesn't put in the right position size to have a static 1% risk of balance. Where my stoploss is.

How further away my SL from entry. How more risk he take.

Input is fine. But in the result tab not.

I use MT5. I got the same problem with magic keys. Forex fine, indices not fine. MT4 fine, MT5 not fine. Both the same.

So in short. How closer my SL to entry, he take less RISK. How farther how more risk The position sizer take with the max of 1% i set.

There might be 2 things possible.

1. your position size is more than Max size. which you can find right click on the instrument then click specification. there you can find Maximal Volume..
2. Your leverage for the Indices might be less.

It looks like your maximum position size for those instruments is 40. That's why the Position Sizer EA isn't calculating it to be greater than that when you move the SL closer. You can switch the SurpassBrokerMaxPositionSize input parameter to true, and the PS EA will start calculating higher volumes and will try to enter the trade with multiple positions.

Red means that there is not enough margin, which would be a different case.

Could you please check the Experts tab output for any messages when such a freeze happens? Otherwise, it's hard to say anything about what might be causing this.

There should be something above these messages, because they are the consequence of the program closing abnormally rather than the reason.

It looks rather strange. There is no critical error, but it crashes for some reason. What's the Build numbrer of your MT5? You can check it via Help->About.

Yes it happens randomly. I cannot pin point a reason

Hm... That's a stable build, it shouldn't be causing any issues. Normally, even when the panel crashes randomly with no apparent reason, there is a message about a critical error in the Experts tab. Not in this case. Let's see if I can reproduce this or if you'll get any further info from more crashes. Unfortunately, I cannot offer a solution right now.

I wanna ask where is the problem, when support says that this type of trading is allowed, but it does not let me place a trade

Because there is a bug in the Position Sizer that makes it think that the trading symbol is misconfigured when it doesn't receive all the data immediately. This will be fixed in the next version (which is coming quite soon I hope!).

You have to check the Experts tab when you are trying to execute trade (if that's what isn't working).

I'm trying to use position sizer on Mac (macOS Monterey) with Metatrader 5.

I'm encountering a problem in the settings:

- when I click on a color (lines or fonts) to change it, nothing happens!

I can modify the other settings without any problem.
