I am new to margin trading.
I have shorted (cross) Dogecoin with 1000 usd at 60 cents with x3 margin.
I got a margin call and then I added another 1400$ to the margin.
My equity account says 1900$. The rest is in ''debt'' .
My question is: let's assume dogecoin goes back to 0.06 cents...
Let's say i have 10k and i want to open a position of 2% risk with a stop loss of 9.58 pips, so based on the calculator it would as the above picture,
My position size would be 2.08 lots? However when entering a demo trade on MT4, my maximum position size allowed is only 1.67 on a 1:20 leverage...

I’m not a pro forex trader, I want to know what margin call level is? Why different account type has got different margin call level? Is it better that our account has a higher level or lower? Would you please help me? Thanks.

I am not suggesting there is anything wrong with your calculations when using your indicator with "Lots" and I realize you do not want to individually tailor the indicator for me personally BUT surely I cannot be the only trader who wants to use this on a Spreadbetting account.
Would it be possible to add in the amount held on margin for the trade. The reason behind my asking is because I keep a small side account that I use very high risk. Kinda like a steak and lobster account instead of the normal burger and fries account. When I place a pending order I manually...
