"Trading not allowed" is a different message. The most likely reason is that you either didn't enable Algo Trading for the platform or didn't enable Algo Trading for NewsTrader when attaching it.

Am have 2 problems that am trying to solve
1. At least 2 buy trades & 2 sell trades are opened one after another ,
although only 1 of both should open , eventhough am starting the mt5 app fresh, then attaching and filling the numbers in the EA 's properities.
2. some of those trades' TP & /or SL are zero ( even though operating in cold times not hot ones).

What's the output in the Experts and Journal tabs during the trades' execution? Could you please also attach here the .set file the input parameters you are using?

I made several tests on this updated version ,
and only a one buy & sell trades are made in one operation ,
as follows : for ex. a buy directly automatically filled with tp&sl ,
yet the other trade ex. sell, the tp&sl fields take some time to be filled ,
and these test are in Non-high volatility time ,
and I made the seconds before supposed news time not less than 6 seconds , in order to catch up filling all the tp/sl fields .

Thank you for letting me know! When you have some free time, try testing this one. It should be more strict in applying SL and TP.
News Trader updated to version 1.11 to, hopefully, fix the position opening issues in MT5, and a somewhat similar issue in MT4.

It's not a fully automated EA that can be run for some period to either earn profit or make losses. It's purpose is to give traders an option to trade a news event of their choice based on their preferences. Hence its results will depend on the choice of news events, specific settings used, and market conditions at the time of the news event. Drawing any conclusions from any results by other traders is thus useless.

Thank you for sharing your news trader EA. I have a small request for two enhancements:
1.Move to Breakeven Pips: It would be helpful if the EA could automatically adjust the stop-loss to breakeven after a positive pip movement.
2. Trailing Stop Trigger: Could you add a trigger to activate the trailing stop after a set number of pips in the favorable direction?

If you prefer trading news with pending orders, it's best to switch to this EA.
Hello. Just stumbled on this news EA, and upon testing, it doesn't seem to set pending orders. But if it did, there is no parameter to specify how far away from the price in pips I want it set at.
The News Trader EA doesn't trade using pending orders, it trades using market orders.

Can you help me out how I can start the News Trader? I want to try on demo account first to see how it works. I tried these to version without success.
I added the values in in that column and hit start. As I can see it isn't added to the start column.

Check the Experts tab of the Toolbox subwindow - there should be some error message if there's a problem.
Please check the screenshoot. I renamed the alfa word to make difference between two versions.
