apex futures attempt

thinkin next week might be a bit tough...... going to estimate between 50 and 300 trades next week..... averaging 20$ per........

will post my results here regardless.....

that 50 and 300 was meant per account..... 20 accounts.....

figured it might be tough this week...... took 3 losses already .... per account.....

had been up over 10k for the day, losses pulled it down to 8,651.......

need a minimum of 32k in next 10 days to clear the account balance requirement to request a payout......

in reality i need far more..... but that would only be for the first payout period...... why......

the maximum payout per 10 traded days for the first 3 months is 30k....... so 60k per month...... ( no limit after 4 months).....

now really...... who here needs 60k per month...... not me for sure......

if i leave the 32k in the accounts, next pay periods minimum balance is already there.....

so after 10 days, i should never have to be concerned about the minimum balance or trailing drawdown again.....

this should allow me to withdraw a reasonable amount from that point on.......

'reasonable' is a relative term.... so yours might differ from mine....h

the differences between metatrader and tradovate are worth noting......

tradovate will not allow me to set psar to my preferred values of 0.01, 0.2 ...... lowest it will go is 0.02, 0.2......

but when comparing 0.02, 0.2 on both platforms, the results are not equal......

0.02 has already boke on mq4, but not yet on tradovate......

these differences might impact trading systems negatively.....

if the metatrader 0.01, 0.2 psar breaks on the 240 mnq, it could be a 3000$ move.......

higher highs higher lows..... abc correction followed by elliot 5..... where 5 is past peak.....

if that meant anything we would see another abc correction..... where "a" is current zigzag leg..... breaking the 240 psar would give leg b......

but who can say for sure.........h

hey johnere...... only 0.01, 0.2 ....... did show the standard 0.02,0.2 the other day because of tradovate.....

not sure why i use it, just a habit possibly..... it's likely no better or worse than default standard......h

dow might cross 40k several times before becoming comfortable that high...... less than 1% move would do it.....

ict'ers lookin hard at those two 240 bars......

2 micro contracts, on 20 accounts, would be worth around 5k...... might happen today.....

s&p has had two 50$ 4 hour bars back to back with declining money flow...... 50$ based on 1 micro future.....

if money flow can climb above 50.0 line, odds favor 3......

if it can hold those gains till new york open, odds favor 4......

if,,, 1 "if" is n, then 2" ifs" are n squared.......

that might be 3 if's.......

what are the odds of that.....h

no real news today...... leaves their minds will focus on end of week, end of month, end of quarter.......

have no clue as to when, or if, we will see rates cut....... but we are 1 month and 1 quarter closer......

course the same can be said of a balanced budget......h

to get a payout with apex, the minimum requirements are 10 days traded and 1500 over the max trailing drawdown....., in my case that figure is 26,600..... 100 must be left in..... which in essence means after the first payout my account can never fall below 25,100......

on average, i believe it will be difficult for me to make 1500 per account every 10 days using a single micro future...... today is my 9th day..... i'm 60$ from it now.... markets closed for rest of this week.....

so how to make this work.....

obviously, increasing my lot size..... which would in effect mean doubling my contract size...... from 1 to 2...... no....... no way......

another solution would be to trade better...... far preferable to fiddling with contract size......

another, somewhat hanky panky idea is to use the payout window time...... that's 5 extra days..... there is no true advantage in requesting the payout on first day vs 5th day.....

if my payout request window is the entire next week, friday is just as good as monday..... after the first payout, there should never be any issue at all......

have high hopes for next week...... improvement is on my mind........h
