If you go to netdania.com/chartstation you can construct a page that will display as many as 9 different time frames for the same currency pair on the same page simultaneously. This is a live feed and you can observe the prices in each individual chart change in unison. There is no charge for use of their site. I hope this is of some help to you.

The various time frames are required as it will determine the time you will keep the trade open. 15min chart will mean you may keep the trade open for an hour. Trading on a daily chart measn you may keep the trade open for several days etc.

That's a strange way to trade Robert.

I enter and exit trades on multiple time frames, and i hold the trade until it hits my profit target. What time frame i take the trade on has no bearing whatsoever on how long i will hold the trade.

Price chart is made not only of price, but also of time. Tick prices are the raw data, whereas the timeframes (9 or 9 million of them) are just maps of that data with different levels of detail.

Price is price. Whether its displayed on a monthly chart or a 1 min chart, its still the same price. 🙂

Yes, and it must be ... otherwise one could open a trade on one timeframe and immediately close it again on another, banking pips without an actual price movement.

Imagine the different timeframes as various zoom levels, like magnifying glasses of differing strenghts, but all looking at exactly the same thing.

Cheers,
P.
