cTrader Position Sizer

I'm hoping for a little help here, something appears amiss with the TP calculations. It is something I have noticed for a while, and attempted to report before but I don't think I put in enough detail

I have 3 screenshots here.

The trade setup on the broker is a real 1:1, but on the calculator it shows as being only 1:0.5. For some reason the TP calculations appear to be incorrect and are a lot less than I would really receive if the trade were to play in my favour.

At min lot size the real position is £0.34 loss or £0,30 in profit. When using the overlay it shows a loss of £0.38 but a profit of only £0.23. Thats a massive difference and only half of the real position.

I have checked to see what settings I was using for commission, and either having that on or off makes no difference to the overlay calculations. The real commission price is £0.02 each way, so only 4p in total

Obviously price moves around a little, so between screenshots you can expect a little difference, but in terms of percentage this is a massive difference and really affects trade calculations

Could you help me better understand what is happening please?

Yes, it looks like the round-turn commission is being applied twice in the calculation (29p - 4 x 1.5p = 23p).
Could you please let me know which broker is that, so I could test this on a GBP account?
This doesn't show with USD and AUD accounts I tried.

Really pleased that you have managed to confirm the issue. I thought I was losing my mind as it only happens on some pairs and has made a massive difference to some of the calculations it has produced when i've been taking trades.

Never used to happen, so as you say, hopefully fixed in the next version.

Thanks for your help

Version 1.29 of the cTrader Position Sizer is now out. It fixes multiple bugs and introduces several new features:
  • Added an optional margin utilization display on the Margin tab.
  • Added optional restrictions concerning margin utilization on the Trading tab.
  • Added a take-profit multiplier field to the Main tab to offer a quick way to modify it without changing input parameters.
  • Added an option to use the spread adjustment for stop-loss and take-profit values in all trading modes (previously, it was available only in ATR-based mode).
  • Added an input parameter to hide all risk and reward values in currency units or pips from the panel.
  • Added an option to select the price type to use for stop order execution (Bid, Ask, Double Bid/Ask).
  • Added an option to set the stop-price distance in pips for stop-limit orders.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented stop-loss and take-profit levels from staying at the given levels when ATR options were enabled and both ATR multipliers were set to zero.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the TP distance to change inexplicably when TP distance in pips was enabled.
  • Fixed a crashing error that could occur when returning the computer with the platform from sleep mode.
  • Fixed a position opening bug that could lead to SL being slightly different from the given one.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the 'Use Commission to Set TP Distance' parameter from working.
  • Fixed a memory leak issue.
