ECONOMIC FOCUS THIS WEEK
Wednesday, 30 April
- Focus shifts to Australia early in the day with the release of CPI inflation data.
- In China, Manufacturing and Non-Manufacturing PMI figures are scheduled.
- Germany’s Prelim CPI data is due shortly after the European open.
- A busy US session includes:
- ADP Non-Farm Employment Change
- Advance Q1 GDP report
- Employment Cost Index
- Canada’s GDP data will also be released.
- Later in the day, the US Core PCE Price Index – a key inflation measure – will be reported, alongside Pending Home Sales data.
- Asian markets will be guided by the Bank of Japan’s interest rate decision.
