I think starting your own brokerage is currently more difficult and expensive than starting your own trading career. You have to spend money on licenses, compliance, marketing, stuff and a lot of other things. While for trading you need only to spend 4-5 hours reading books, practicing or getting university degree to facilitate the process. I wouldn't even try to run FX company, again, because of intense competition.
