If you’re new to cTrader, get comfortable with the order window before placing live trades. A buy limit waits for a lower price, while a buy stop waits for price to rise to your chosen level. Mixing them up means you're sending a different instruction than you intended.

I’ve published a guide covering market, limit, stop and stop-limit orders, using simple EURUSD examples. It also covers the difference between a stop entry and a stop loss, how execution prices can vary, and where to modify or cancel pending orders.

There’s a short demo-account exercise to practise the basics without risking real money.
