I’m just getting into the world of crypto after years of watching from the sidelines. It’s all very new to me — wallets, exchanges, blockchains — I’m trying to take it step by step without getting overwhelmed. Right now, I’m mainly looking for good educational resources that actually help beginners understand the basics (not just buzzwords). I’d also really appreciate any honest reviews on platforms you’ve used — especially ones that are beginner-friendly and safe.

Any tips, recommendations, or things to avoid would mean a lot

You're doing it right by taking your time—there's a lot of noise in crypto, and the slow-and-steady approach keeps you from getting overwhelmed or burned early on. Start with the basics: understand what blockchains actually do, how wallets work (especially the difference between custodial and non-custodial), and the line between investing and trading. Binance Academy and Coinbase Learn are decent starting points, and Whiteboard Crypto on YouTube breaks things down in a way that’s easy to follow without all the hype.

When it comes to platforms, stick to exchanges that are regulated in your region or at least have a solid reputation. Coinbase is probably the easiest to start with, and Kraken’s a good option too once you’re comfortable. Just stay clear of shady Telegram groups, sketchy "airdrops," or anything asking for your private keys. If you’re planning to hold for the long haul, look into getting a hardware wallet. No need to rush into trading, learn the landscape first.

Thanks a lot!

Binance Academy and Investopedia are great for learning the basics. Just make sure the platform’s regulated and skip anything that sounds too good to be true.
