GM going to recover?

Everyone knows the news on GM, while the American automaker vows to make a full recovery, it's questionable whether GM will ever reach the level it once enjoyed as America's largest domestic auto company.

I'd like to get everyone's opinion here, do you think GM will ever reach the level it was once at again and make a full recovery, or do you think the company is in for years of struggle and possible failure in the long run?

That depends on the new owner. If it doesn't fail to appoint professional management team and invests a lot (at least at first) then GM may become a viable automaker again.

I am a capitalist. Company’s come and company’s go. If the US let them go before they interfered and committed so much money into it, the vacuum that is created will be filled by someone else. The land of opportunity is now stifling that, and it is the change from that value which might come back to bite them in the long run.
