I published a new complex MetaTrader indicator on the site today its called Traders Dynamic Index. It has almost everything the Forex trader needs: trend direction indicator, trend strength indicator and the market volatility measurement tool. But despite these cool features it is very simple to use. This indicator was sent to me by one of the sites visitors, but it most probably originates from www.compassfx.com.
Heres a quick guide to using this indicator (I recommend reading the full guide in its codes commentary):
- Blue bands show a strength of the trend the wider they are, the stronger is the trend.
- Yellow line indicates the trends direction change when it bounces of 32 level, trend goes bullish, when it bounces down from 68 level, trend goes bearish.
- Green and red lines signal for the long position if the green one intersects the red one from below, and for short position, when the red one crosses the green line from below.
The Traders Dynamic Index as well as the entire Synergy Method can be downloaded for free from CompassFX at http://www.compassfx.com There are also videos on how to use the indicators.

Sir,
I have downloaded the Traders Dynamic Index, but it did not show on my MT4 Charts. I would be grateful if you could show me the way round it. A step-by-step approach will definetely help.
Many thanks.

Sorry, I can compile it now. BUT if you download the latest version of the Dynamic Trader Index, you will see that there two indicators are not the same. The latest version is BETTER (more smooth and precise).
It would be nice to find & use the latest code.

Duncan

What error messages do you get when you try to compile it? I have no problems compiling that code…

I don’t know about improved version, but the only other version I know is the same indicator, but with visual signals added. You can download it here.

I am told that the Traders Dynamic Index was not written by Compass FX, but you know how reliable any word-of-mouth info is.

I’m confused.IN the manual it says the following
Avoid entering a Long trade when RSI PL > the upper Volatility Band, > 50, and > 68.
Now does this mean to not take any trades when the rsi line is above the blue volatilty bands? And what does > 50 and > 68 mean exatcly

Hi
i get tdi alerts in my mobile. Market hours off. the screen display of visual alert in red to green colors are correct ie weak, strong, caution buy or sell with tdi trend up or down. But the msg alert ( popping small alert box) seen on screen comes always as STRONG BUY. Similarly the sms i get of this alert is always same as in popping alert box. so the msg alert and visual alert are contradictory, and i fail to place any trade….
i hv not changed anything in the code .
Is it becoz iam running TDI during off market hours or there is something wrong with the code itself , generating wrong message alert and sms alerts ( with correct visual alerts) ?.
Can the moderator guide me…
