I’m planning to take a prop firm challenge soon and trying to narrow down reliable, long-term firms.

From my research, I've shortlisted Funded Next and Hola Prime, but there are so many prop firms now that it’s hard to separate the legit ones from those with payout issues, rule traps, or sudden account closures.

I’d really appreciate recommendations for prop firms you’ve personally traded with and received consistent payouts from over time. Mainly looking for firms that:

- Honor payouts without excuses

- Have clear, fair rules

- Don’t change conditions mid-challenge

Any first-hand experiences (good or bad) would be super helpful. Trying to save time, money, and avoid mistakes. Thanks!

totally get that. the prop firm space right now feels like the wild west: a few solid sheriffs, and a lot of pop-up saloons that disappear right after payout day. both are decent choices but with slightly different strengths: fundedNext: Offers a variety of challenge models and funding up to larger accounts with generally clear and fair rules. hola prime: Known for fast payouts and flexible challenge options with multiple risk/reward structures. your best bet is to trial small challenges at both and compare your own experience before committing larger capital. personally, I prefer low entry fees and bare-minimum rules. so choose what aligns with your trading style and risk tolerance.

Appreciate that breakdown, that’s a solid way to look at it. I like the idea of testing small first instead of going all in on one firm. Makes more sense to see how they actually behave in real conditions. Thanks for sharing your experience. Definitely helps cut through the noise a bit.
