Some CFD brokers now offer weekend trading on selected markets. Do you trade CFDs during weekends?

How attractive do you find weekend trading, and how safe is it considering wider spreads, lower liquidity, price gaps, and limited hedging opportunities?

I’d be interested to hear your experience and views. only from real traders please.
Thanks

weekend trading is basically just a rigged house game, there’s no real liquidity out there. they just use the quiet time to widen spreads and farm retail traders—seen too many guys get wrecked by slippage on fake price action. trading over the weekend is just handing over cash to the broker on a silver platter.

I never trade on weekends when the forex market is closed—since the broker I use is also closed—though crypto CFDs usually remain tradable. However, I recall hearing that there are brokers offering weekend trading, albeit with higher transaction costs compared to regular trading days.

Weekend trading is growing in the CFD market, and I see more and more brokers offering it - but as You mentioned, the spreads, are quite high and the volatility is poor.
BUT on the other hand, it does protect You from weekend political events for a relatively low cost.

Anyone trading IG weekend products ? any inputs about how reliable is it ?

weekend cfds are absolute dogshit for spreads and liquidity is completely dead, so best to just skip it tbh. I mean, if you're using it purely as a hedge against unpredictable weekend headlines i guess there's a tiny window, but costs are way too high for it to actually be worth it.

gap risk is the bigger concern imo, not just spreads/liquidity. a monday open gap on the real market can blow right through whatever happened on the cfd over the weekend, so friday stops mightve been meaningless by monday

mostly seems useful just for closing exposure risk on an open position rather than opening new stuff, anyone actually use it for more than that?
