Have you ever tried an indicator or strategy that felt promising but ended up regretting it? Why? What happened?

News trading. Eventually, even with a zero-spreads broker, it was a losing game for me even though the idea looked great from the theoretical point of view and there were several promising periods of rather good earnings.

Yes, I tried a TTM Squeeze-based strategy that looked great in backtests but failed in live markets, especially during choppy conditions. Signals lagged, leading to poor trades.

I have never bought an indicator, I just think it is simple. Indicators only take past data to predict possible future price trends. Indicators can be useful, but they can't guarantee perfect accuracy.
