Among other new features it will include more flexible timeframes, better custom indicators, improved automated trading (including new IDE for MQL language) and a proper handling of the trader's orders for the same trading instruments.

You can find more details on what to expect from the upcoming MetaTrader 5 release from the official post on the topic:

Do you wait for this release? What do you expected from MetaTrader 5? What new features would you like to see in this new version of the most popular Forex trading platform?

One of the MT5 betatesters reports on the new features (mostly the new programming language - MQL5):

It looks like this new version will introduce a lot of new possibilities (like events) for making reliable and complex EAs... But I am afraid that the language and the coding itself will become more difficult to use.

Security in MT5

Does the new trading terminal provide the same level of security as compared to MT4?
Or it is even more advanced? If yes, please specify

Great - just when I have everything setup to my weird and wonderful ways on MT4, I can now look forward to setting everything up again on MT5 when it comes out.

Oh joy of joys....

The devil vomits in my eiderdown once again.
