Indicators are virtually always based off of averages/calculations on previous price movement.
They are definitely useful, but not viable by themselves.
It's possible, but if you are a beginner, make sure to learn about doing technical analysis for yourself. That can help with optimizing the use of the indicator.
Yes, but you should also be careful. Be sure you know what you're doing and I think that combining the use of indicators while considering other things is also helpful.
