hello i newbie in forex,

i saw this in somewhere forum few month ago,
Buy
(+40 pips)
S/L-30pips
T/P+50pips

SeLL
(-40pips)
S/L+30pips
T/P-50pips

i like to understand more how the calculation made? pls brother and sister help..

i dont have any system,but trying to do manual entry/ exit and i dont know how is this calculation made from base of open price.

E.g:

EURUSD open 1.3750 Buy:
+40pips= 1.3790 -30pips = 1.3760 entry for S/L
+50pips = 1.3840 entry for T/P
Sell:
-40pips=1.3710 +30pips = 1.3740 entry for S/L
-50pips = 1.366 entry for T/P

am i doing calculation manually correctly? or pls correctly if i am wrong pls..

Calculations look to be correct, mathematically speaking, but what are they for?

Thank you for the shed light, i very new to Forex and i learn to trade manual entry base from news, information and so on, basically i just enter, set and forget it. but so far very slow performance. i glad found this forum and hoping could learn more about Forex. Thank you
