The two accounts are virtually the same, the major difference is the minimum capital base needed for starting each of the accounts. For micro account, you need very little amount to start up, as low as $1 for Profiforex and similar platforms or $5 for Oanda; while mini account, you may need up to $1,000 to maintain the account.

I didn't know that Oanda offers a micro account, thanks for sharing.

Micro and mini account is good for new traders to trade . Now a lot of brokers offers a micro account that require little capital to start trading and at the same time gain experience while trading.

It’s a good suggestion! I think, trading is demo and live trading environment is not same! So, traders need to test their trading skill first before their final jump! After my demo, I have used so many demo contests to justify my trading skill! And then I was satisfied on my result then I have started my live trading with full force.
