Dynamic Leverage

my tendency is to avoid both market volatility and news events.....

when that is not possible, it seems best to lower the leverage to bare minimum and increase target distances accordingly.....

someone with a yolo approach would do the exact opposite...... and i admire their courage......

the variable index dynamic moving average , vidya, is quite useful...... h
The temptation of riding that news high really pulls me in; makes me wanna crank up the leverage and go all in.

What do you mean?
Like, do you play it safe when things are wild or go bigger when you feel confident? Adjusting your risk based on what’s going on? I can put it this way too: Do you change how much leverage you use depending on how crazy the market is or if big news is coming?

I always use the same leverage, but I vary the risk based on the setup's perceived probability.

Yeah, I’ve done that a few times. Basically, I drop my leverage when the market’s acting crazy or there’s big news coming.

I choose to leverage from the start and rarely change it afterward. However, during major news events, I sometimes avoid trading because the movements are often random, and sometimes I take calculated risks.
