No, you don’t strictly need a teacher to succeed in Forex. Many traders are self-taught using books, courses, and practice. However, a mentor can speed up learning, reduce mistakes, and provide guidance. Ultimately, success depends on discipline, risk management, experience, and continuous self-education rather than formal instruction.

Wherever a teacher is, they are merely guides in learning. Success is not determined by the teacher, but by the individual. Even if someone possesses knowledge but is unable to implement it in the field, it's like a tree with abundant leaves but no fruit. No one can benefit from it.

Honestly, I don’t think you need a teacher, but it depends how you learn. I tried going solo for my first year—watched YouTube, read forums, blew a small account. Eventually, I found a mentor who wasn’t selling a course, just someone a few years ahead. That helped me more than any ebook. A good teacher can save you time and bad habits, but a bad one will just take your money. You can absolutely learn on your own if you’re disciplined. Just don’t expect to skip the screen time. No shortcut for experience.
