The Moving Average Convergence-Divergence (MACD) indicator is one of the simplest and most effective momentum indicators available. MACD is one of the most reliable indicators in forex technical analyses. How often do you use MACD?

Well in my experience MACD works well in swing trading when you want to take 100-200 pips. In long time frame it really works though in short time frame it dint work well for me.

Absolutely Useless

Absolutely useless--along with 50 or more other indicators that are equally absurd. The confluence of a myriad of traders analyzing price points ,trend lines, pivot points , support and resistance levels and each one of them applying their own brand of analysis defy the use of any backward looking indicator that can yield any useful intelligence about future price direction or movement. In both the long and short run they neutralize each other. The only thing a trader can rely on is price action and range. Best to apply your intellect, research and backtesting to developing a trading strategy that uses price action as the integral determinant of future prices.Difficult but rewarding

Indicators are absolutely unreliable. They can fit particular market state in a certain period of time and then give in majority false signals.

Robutts

Robots are no better in forecasting prices than the people who buy them. If they were anywhere close to being as good as their salesmen claim them to be why would a rational person sell them when they could just sit back and collect from a never ending stream of profitable trades. Selling robots and signals is a profitable business for promoters and hustlers who take advantage of newbies and the uninformed to ply their trade.Stick to your own research and develop your own forecasting and trading skills and you will be better served and save money at the same time.
