Hello everyone,
I have recently completed the production version of an MT5 Expert Advisor called StructureBox Breakout Pro MT5, and I would appreciate honest, skeptical feedback from traders who have experience testing automated systems.
This is not being presented as a guaranteed-profit robot or a “holy grail.”
The objective was to build a structured XAUUSD breakout system with clear risk controls, market-condition filtering and enough transparency for the user to understand what the EA is monitoring.
Before trading, it checks factors including:
The higher profiles are not recommendations for every trader. Users should choose according to their own account size and risk tolerance.
Several were rejected because, although they appeared logical, they did not improve the complete system across profit, drawdown, win rate and trade quality.
The final version therefore does not include every feature that was tested. It keeps the changes that showed the strongest overall balance while trying to avoid excessive curve-fitting.
The EA has also passed MQL5 compilation and automated Market validation requirements.

Trading forex and metals involves significant risk. Backtests and forward results do not guarantee future performance. Demo testing is recommended before any live deployment.

This is not being presented as a guaranteed-profit robot or a “holy grail.”
The objective was to build a structured XAUUSD breakout system with clear risk controls, market-condition filtering and enough transparency for the user to understand what the EA is monitoring.
Core approach
The EA identifies structured price boxes and prepares pending orders around qualified breakout levels. Before trading, it checks factors including:
- Market and symbol trading conditions
- Current spread
- Breakout structure
- Market regime
- Session and trade direction
- Broker price and volume restrictions
- Account-level protection limits
No martingale or grid
The EA does not use:- Martingale
- Grid trading
- Recovery lot multiplication
- Unlimited averaging
- Hidden trades without a Stop Loss
Market-condition intelligence
The current version includes a multi-layer decision framework consisting of:- Market Safety Gate
- Market Regime Classifier
- Trade Permission Matrix
- Adaptive risk management
- Session and direction analysis
- Targeted risk reduction in historically weaker conditions
- Broker-volume-limit protection
Customer risk profiles
Users can choose between:- Conservative — 1% risk per trade
- Balanced — 2% risk per trade
- Aggressive — 3% risk per trade
- Extremely Aggressive — 4% risk per trade
- Custom — manually controlled settings
The higher profiles are not recommendations for every trader. Users should choose according to their own account size and risk tolerance.
On-chart status panel
The EA includes a clean status panel displaying:- Current EA status
- Symbol and timeframe
- Selected risk profile
- Current market regime
- Current trading session
- Current spread
Development approach
During development, I tested a number of additional filters and management ideas.Several were rejected because, although they appeared logical, they did not improve the complete system across profit, drawdown, win rate and trade quality.
The final version therefore does not include every feature that was tested. It keeps the changes that showed the strongest overall balance while trying to avoid excessive curve-fitting.
The EA has also passed MQL5 compilation and automated Market validation requirements.
Recommended use
- MetaTrader 5
- Primarily designed and tested for XAUUSD
- VPS recommended
- Demo testing before live use
- Broker-specific testing recommended
- Conservative or Balanced profile for initial evaluation

The EA is available through the MQL5 Market:https://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/182840?source=Site+Market+MT5+Search+Rating006:structurebox
