yeah, like compared to 3-4 years ago it was not this broad. it was harder to choose a good broker, when everyone claims to be legit. but now a days with fast internet connection, and fast moving informations traders learned. it might not be enough to classify a broker as scam or not through only regulations, there are good broker who are in the "applying for a regulation" phase, but its always better to be on a safer side and go with a regulated broker.

Most important thing which is improved now as compared to few years ago that now the minimum capital requirements from different regulatory authorities for Forex Brokers is much higher and that makes this regulatory process a bit more efficient and transparent, although there are still other things to consider by the regulatory authorities in order to improve this entire process.

I don't think so. I think it is quite easier now to get a license. The worst case is that regulatory bodies cannot shut down a broker when it goes rogue. Can't you see how LR was shut down? That is what it means to regulate a company. These days, forex broker do what they want and get away with it.
