Tuesday the Euro inclined reaching $1.43, a new top for the last 8 weeks. The EUR also fell 1.1% versus JPY to 134.04 from 135.48 level reached on Monday. The fall was reasoned by stock decline as traders turned to the safety of the Japanese and American currencies. The Yen rose yesterday versus other major currencies in particular versus the EUR for the first time in 4 days as a worse-than-expected drop in U.S. Consumer Confidence this month discouraged investors from buying higher-profit assets.
