Taro Aso, the leader of Japan, called for a $15 trillion Yen, $150 billion stimulus plan Friday in a move intended to jump start the island nation's flailing economy. In a speech to the nation, Aso said the plan is intended to prevent further economic woes while maintaining and improving Japanese citizens' lifestyle.

The amount of funds to be used in the plan is equivalent to around 3% of Japan's GDP.
