I am curious to know how traders have been doing the past two weeks of trading? (August 1st to August 12 2011)

Have you found it harder or easier to trade in a volatile market?

Are you making money or losing money?

What strategies seem to work better for you?

I am finding it more difficult, because the market is whipsawing a lot of my positions, particularly on EUR/GBP pair.

I tried Forex 1 year ago, when things weren't as tight as they are now. I don't think I'd stand a chance in this situation, so, fortunately for me I can't to badly only because I am inactive right now.

Although turbulent times are dangerous for all the financial traders, they also provide some once-in-a-lifetime opportunities in the Forex market. Or so it seems to me .

For me it was very good months!!!
THanks to EUR/CHF intervention i made 150% of my account. (not i wasn't lucky to buy at 1.10 and sell at 1.20) I woke up and the market was at the 1.21 . .so i waited once it will go down to lower levels, after that i bought very big ammount at level 1.2025 and sold it at 1.2170 (it was unusual for me, because i don't trade for such long distances .. always i trade for 5 - 20 pips TP) + very lot of scalps i made, when the markets where in rally mode

Forex scalper, nice ROI for a month . But to me, EUR/CHF looks too dangerous to scalp now - it's too unpredictable inside of its tight range.
