profit factor means the ratio of the amount of pips won and amount lost. It is used to assess eas both in backtests and forward tests.

ok..just checking as some use the term with some bizarre meaning attached to it. But ultimately its not as important as risk to reward ratio per trade imo. That will ultimately determin whether you are going to end up a winner or loser at the end of your trading career imo.
