A rather significant upgrade to the MetaTrader 5 platform was released by MetaQuotes yesterday - Build 4230. It can now be retrieved from your broker's server via the update feature. Thew new version focuses on adding more built-in indicators and EAs and on improving support for coding neural networks:
  • Added 11 new indicators (mostly various very simple channels) and 28 new expert advisors (to trade candlestick patterns).
  • Improved margin requirements section of instrument specification to show more details.
  • Added a link to the official Telegram channel to the Help menu.
  • Added a link to the newly released MQL5 Programming for Traders book to the Help menu.
  • Added an option to shut down the terminal once the execution script finishes. This can be used when launching the terminal from the command line to perform some specific task.
  • Improved protection of everything connected to MQL5.com Market products.
  • Removed support of Signals service for demo accounts. It's now advised to use the new reports feature if you were using the Signals service to analyze your performance.
  • Improved selection of the best server when getting a virtual server from MetaQuotes.
  • Updated translations of the user interface.
  • Added a MQL_STARTED_FROM_CONFIG property to the ENUM_MQL_INFO_INTEGER enumeration to check whether the current program was launched as a part of the terminal's startup configuration.
  • Added more floating point types to use in ONNX models.
  • Added new matrix and vector methods.
  • Updated ONNX runtime to version 1.17.
  • Updated Python integration package.
  • Added a DEAL_REASON_CORPORATE_ACTION property to the ENUM_DEAL_REASON enumeration to mark deals that are result of some corporate action (mostly to be used in shares trading).
  • Fixed color type variables conversion to text.
  • Improved the built-in search.
  • Added support for AVX, AVX2 and AVX512 modes when compiling an MQL5 program from the command line.
  • Updated SQLite engine to version 3.45.
  • Completely switched from Internet Explorer to Microsoft Edge WebView2 as the internal HTML renderer.
  • Fixed calculation of triple swaps in the Strategy Tester when the test starts on a triple swaps day.
  • Implemented some other fixes and improvements.
