Are there any platforms where I can conduct spread comparisons. I trade with Hotforex but a kind of interested to know how tight are their spreads. But in order to compare I need to open accounts with other brokers which takes a lot of time and efforts.

Ok I see, what we can do now is to ride small waves (swings) in the current medium-term range, I think with 1:5 Hotforex leverage it's still a lucrative option. HODL strategy died I guess.

And I avoid forex mart because they are outright unregulated scam. First of all watch where your broker is located and then make any money transactions from your bank to basically a forex hole :)

What's the average live spread on USDRUB? And is there going to be positive swap on short USDRUB positions?

Where it's high? It may be higher but you get proper regulation and easier top-up/withdrawal procedures with forex brokers.

The numbers are overstated, we know about losers because of their numerous complaints, but know little about winners because they don't share their positive experience often. It's called probabilistic bias

What's your preferred timeframe for backtesting. I usually download 1H history data from Hotforex so it takes not so much time for testing like 1day for 1M timeframe.

At least they can tell you this but take it with a grain of salt. All paid EAs bring profit only for their creators

Basically through VIX futures or straddle option strategy which make volatility subdued. But it also increase risks of sharper plunge during turmoil

Of course probably in the couple of years. For now its' better to make money on its wild swing and this broker offer nice opportunity for that.
