August 12, 2009 at 9:44 by Andriy Moraru

This video is a first part of the series of the quite interesting commodity trading videos. It’s about the history of the commodity trading and begins with the Sumerian early attempts to set up the working “board of trade” for the commodities. The story in the video ends with description of creation of the Chicago Board of Trade and explanations of how the early futures trading worked.

Created by Jeffrey Kramer (economic analysts) for Economic Outlook.
