Agricultural Commodities Broadly Higher

February 3, 2015 at 19:36 by Vladimir Vyun

Agricultural commodities were higher across the board today as the recent decline of prices attracted traders who wanted to buy cheap. Gains were rather substantial.

Grains were falling previously due to concerns about oversupply on the market. Wheat, which was among the biggest losers previously, demonstrated impressive gains today. The grain rose for the first time in three sessions. Wheat lost as much as 14.69 percent of its value in January.

March corn gained 4.39 percent to $3.86 per bushel as of 19:32 GMT on CBoT today. Soybeans advanced 3.47 percent to $9.9275 per bushel. Contract for wheat advanced 4.01 percent to $5.1250 per bushel.
