Web Interface for MetaTrader 4

November 9, 2009 by

An interesting service is offered by BostonTechVPS. It’s a MetaTrader 4 VPS company that allows traders to trade via MT4 through the web-based interface. After you sign up for this service, you’ll be able to access your MT4 platform (with all its indicators and expert advisors) via your regular Internet browser — from your desktop, notebook or even a mobile phone. The only problem is that the EAs that require a lot of server speed will lag in such VPS and a special dedicated server solution may be required in that case. Here is a list of other BostonTechVPS features:

  • Monthly fee is $49
  • Servers are located in United States
  • Hosted on Unix, but web interface allows connection from any system
  • MetaTrader platform pre-installed

I want my clients to use my AE but without the EA on their computer are possible with your formula?

Yes, you can install your EA on VPS and give your clients access to the VPS. But they will be able to download the EA from it.

Interesting..the problem is that MetaTrader 4 was designed to run on Windows. While MetaTrader can technically be run using WINE in linux / unix there is a performance trade off and some functionality is broken. Programs designed to run in windows should be run on windows for maximum performance.
