descending channel

Archives

A descending channel is a chart pattern formed by a price trend with its trading range confined between two parallel support and resistance lines going down. A genuine descending channel forms as a minor decline inside a long-term rally. Like all other channels, descending channels are trend continuation patterns with an upside breakout providing a tradable signal. The posts below show some examples of trades based on a descending channel formation.
