Would you encourage your kids to learn to trade?

As a successful web designer, I'll do my best for my kid to find out about this and get all the support he/she will need if this job would suit them. Would you also encourage your kids to learn to trade? Are they already learning?

    Part time trader?

Whenever we start a new 'business' it's a good idea to not just jump into it. Having such a steep learning curve forex doesn't appeal to anyone and only few from the people who trade can achieve success. This is why it's smarter to trade as a 'part time' job and not leave everything behind...

What do you think about Forex being a 'scam'?

I've heard about Forex some years ago, when I started seeing all those ads in many places. There were disgruntled traders who have lost a lot and claimed it's all a hoax. It really took me a while to understand it might not be the case. What do you thing about this? Have you also heard these...

How would you consider yourself when it comes to trading?

I am a total beginner, some people have already gotten some experience, while others almost have a guru status. Which is your case? Are you an 'advanced' trader? Do you still feel like you have a lot of learning to do?

    Gold vs. Silver

I'd go with gold right now, but not to trade, just to 'stock' for the future. We're into 'bullion' and we have already started buying few coins to keep. I am more inclined to 'own' the gold, than just trade it.

How careful are you with the money now?

We've all gone through a nasty recession and some countries are still struggling to make their economies run again. This has made many people more careful to how they manage their money and how to save. Are you better with this since the recession? Is it just the same?

Is country relevant to earning from Forex?

I am from Romania and we have VERY few people who are traders and even fewer who have achieved some sort of a success. Do you think country is relevant for this? Do I stand worse chances than, say, an American?

Can one earn a living from Forex?

Right now I am earning a pretty buck by running my network and also working for various web design clients. Still, I would like to 'broaden' my horizons a little too. Do you think it's possible for me to earn a living from this too? Should I stick to what I already do?

What's the most you lost by trading?

From what I read, the percentage of people who lose in Forex is pretty high. Some lose little money, some more. The secret I assume is to learn from it and recover. What's the most you lost in Forex?

Is anyone in the family involved too?

I can't convince my man to love web design, so I'm the only one in the family 'playing' with web sites. Still, when it comes to trading, I can understand that families might get involved, since you can share ideas and knowledge. Is your family into this or are you the only one?

What money did you start Forex trading with?

I head that people should start trading with some serious money, 200 bucks (the most I'd be willing to spend) wouldn't cut it. I'd be interested to see how much money you started out with. Did you start with hundreds too and were still able to make it?

How many test accounts did you need?

I just 'messed' up a test account on forex.com and, since I didn't have too much time to understand how this all goes, I'm sure I would need at least 1 more go for a test if not more. Were you able to learn faster? How many test accounts did you need?

    When did you start trading?

I had an attempt last year and it didn't really work. Truth be told I have a lot on my plate as a web designer and owner of various personal sites, so my learning time was pretty scarce. Did you guys start trading earlier? How early?

i'd like to train someone in forex

This is an awesome collection of tips. One of the best is 'keep learning and testing' and never forgetting about the COMPLEXITY of the market. It's not just numbers, there's a lot of implications (social, economical, political). One has to be really 'rounded' as knowledge and not just focus on...

    best learning Platform ...

I've done some reading there too and would keep my mind open for any site that has a decent forum/article system in place. Knowledge in Forex is so diverse now, that you can 'strike gold' in many other places.

What is the best forex trading strategy?

From what I read here the best strategy is not to jump into it until you really know the stuff. I didn't understand some of the basics so my test account was a mess too. Fortunately I was smart enough to not go with real money. So, I'd just test, learn and test again until I got it clear. Then...

Have you been doing better or worse the past two months?

I tried Forex 1 year ago, when things weren't as tight as they are now. I don't think I'd stand a chance in this situation, so, fortunately for me I can't to badly only because I am inactive right now.

The Main reason Why Forex Traders Fails.

I think one of the most important is that the knowledge is pretty tough to integrate. I mean ... I learned web design on my own. I am a self-taught web designer, am trying to get some programming knowledge too. And still all this Forex thing makes my head spin. I tried to study it last year and...

    Forex Magazines

I don't really trust many magazines, especially if their quality is dwindling. I'd rather read online what I need and most importantly ask people here about how they see things. Still, if the magazine is free, I might take it into account, just to read some more. Otherwise, the web is filled...

Do you believe in Forex Robots?

I wouldn't trust anything 'robotic', especially in such a market. I'd have to really learn a lot about this to be able to learn, but that expertise and flair would make me the money, not something that works automatically.
