The euro continued to rise against the dollar on Monday, its highest level in trading today after comments by European Central Bank President Mario Draghi.
Draghi said in a speech before the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs of the European Parliament "in general is expected to stabilize economic activity in the euro zone and recovering during the year."
The euro in the session high at $ 1.2874 reached in the latest insider price of $ 1.2864, up 0.3 percent on the day, according to Reuters data.

This is just like his by any means necessary speech where he pledged to do "whatever it takes" to save the euro a while back. It never ceases to amaze me just how much the right words from the right mouth can affect the markets. In Draghi's case it's backed by little more than the air expended I feel, Europe's in the deepest doodoo and no amount of positive sentiment can save it.
